Gemstone SF

1998 Chestnut Oldenburg Mare - 16.3+hh
Lot #:

Gemstone SF is a classic sport horse with a winning resumé. As a showjumper “Gemma” was successful through Level 7. She was a powerful jumper and was quick and fast in the jumpoff.  Gemma's temperament is very gentle and she was a perfect amateur ride, always taking her rider safely to the other side of the fence.  In 2008, Gemma retired to the breeding shed and has not disappointed. As a mother she nurtured her babies and passed on her exceptional athletic talent. Her son Possibilites SF shows her keen jumping ability and strong gaits.

Gemstone’s mother was by the internationally known Grand Prix and World Cup jumper Final Pool xx. Her mother is also a direct daughter of our foundation mare Ambling Picture xx. It is exciting to have a second branch of our mare line begin producing talented babies. Gemma's sire, Grand Cru, descends from the famous crossing of the Grande and Absatz lines. Grand Cru's sire, Grand Garcon, competed successfully in the Olympics for Italy; his dam SPS Dorbraut (Duenkel) was also the dam of Pik Solo (Pik Koenig). Gemstone was entered into the North American Jumping Program with scores of 9 for both technique and scope.

She was left open in 2013 so that her new owners can pick their preferred sire for a 2014 foal.
